Sunday 20 July was a day of great celebration "our first win of the season". Well done to everyone that put in a great team performance. A strong batting performance from the top and middle order saw a score of 215, another record I think. Congratulations to JP who chipped in with a exciting 50 to go with an attacking opening spell with the new ball. The small ground made fielding hard work but some very good catching (excepting the easy one that was dropped!) helped us restrict Armagnac-Bigorre when their big run makers were at the crease. It was then easy to apply pressure with Karim bowling well to finish the game at a jog. Now we know how to win lets do it again and again. It is a team game and if everyone does a little bit then the whole will be a success.

July 27 saw us traveling to Eymet to play Angouleme in the Sidalls Cup. Having lost the toss we restricted them to 184. Anything over 100 is always a uphill task for us but we had a good start before their bowlers got some quick wickets. Unfortunately the run rate slipped and we really did have a battle finishing on 134 all out. Never the less a good effort by the team.
